The most notable engineering project involved Canstruct in a $90m Alliance Project on the Dawson and Leichhardt Highways in Central Queensland. The project delivered savings of $9m on Treasury approved funds. A more significant outcome is that the project delivered a better than expected design life which will result in significant maintenance savings over the next 20 years. I have no hesitation in recommending Canstruct for their engineering capability, financial and commercial ability and the general ability to carry out engineering works that meets client’s expectations within an agreed timeframe.
The Drumsite Village project Stages 1 and 2 were well executed from start to finish by Canstruct and it was a pleasure to deal with the various personnel throughout the project. All the best to you and your crew, your company would be welcome back here anytime.
Our three schools being Kingaroy, Murgon and Nanango State High were really pleased with the new Trade Training Centres built by Canstruct in 2011. Everyone is really happy with them and the centres will create good opportunities for our students to learn educational and vocational skills whilst still at school. The staff of Canstruct were very helpful and co-operative, there was excellent consultation and they were built in a timely manner.
The project is integral to the operation of the VALE NC hydrometallurgical process plant and Canstruct have completed this project on time and on budget. Working internationally has numerous unfamiliar constraints in terms of legal, social, cultural and language. Canstruct have managed all necessary preparation efficiently to avoid project delays. Canstruct have proven that their professional approach to project execution results in success.
In response to our need to develop a state of the art food packaging facility, we contacted the team at Canstruct to help with this project. This is the first time Canstruct have been involved in building a food industry facility and they took the time to understand all our specific needs. The facility now provides employment to over 220 people with a disability and we perform work for many of Australia’s blue chip food industry players. Many thanks to the team at Canstruct for their professional and consultative approach to this major project.
We have come to know Canstruct. They have been part of our community. Even when they leave, they will still be in our hearts. They have left a footprint that we will remember forever. We want to thank the Australian people. The bridges represent a wonderful gift from Australia.
The Kumusi Bridge is truly a milestone achievement. This will connect more than 100,000 people and give us more opportunities. An engineering spectacle that we are proud of and I say thank you to the contractors for a job well done. This bridge is a beacon of hope and a symbol of resilience for our country.
On behalf of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) I would like to thank everybody involved in the project on Nauru, not only on the kitchen, but the whole construction to date. Our Managing Contractor (Canstruct) have managed this difficult project with utmost professionalism. We have encountered a number of issues which we have always managed to steer our way through and have a laugh after. The collaborative approach that has been taken by Canstruct and all sub-contractors is to be commended.
Canstruct have been a responsive and reliable partner throughout the life of the project maintaining an excellent working relationship with the project team. Queensland Rail, therefore, have no hesitation in recommending Canstruct for future marine and bridge rehabilitation projects where partnership and innovation are required.
It is the generous support of people like you that enables the Association to provide support and fund equipment for Rural Fire Brigades and Volunteers. It enables them to carry out the essential work which protects the residents of Queensland from the ravages of wildfires; it also makes it possible for the Brigade Volunteers to assist Queensland communities through flood and cyclone recovery.
Thank you for the wonderful support provided by Cliff Lifu during his extended period of pro bono work with the Business Council of Australia’s BizRebuild team from 17 February to 12 June 2020. Cliff was a major contributor to the successful and rapid delivery of the Mogo Pop-Up Mall. His presence on site was pivotal in achieving a great outcome through mobilising the local community under the leadership of the President of the Mogo Village Business Chamber, Richard Adams. We also appreciate the support provided by Karen Langdon as an expert adviser for our community wellbeing work, and the ongoing commitment of Tamara Keysers as a member of our mental health team.
On behalf of the Department of Home Affairs we would like to pass on our sincere thanks to the management and staff of Canstruct International Pty Ltd for your professionalism and dedication to the delivery of services under the Nauru Garrison and Welfare Services Contract in the lead up to 30 April 2019.
In addition to supporting Australian community engagement initiatives, Canstruct Group and The Murphy Family Foundation leave a positive legacy within the communities in which we operate. For example, following the 2019/2020 Bushfire season Canstruct Group provided pro bono business recovery support to small businesses on Kangaroo Island. Canstruct also supported the BizRebuild initiative by providing staff members with specialised skills.
